When we saw this dress, at Reshaa, we didn’t think much about it but there was still something about it that beckoned us towards it. The unassuming prints and modest fitting really came into its own once it was worn. This beautiful dress was particularly chosen for its Pochampally weave and Ikkat style of dyeing. Pochampally is popular for its traditional geometric patterns in Ikkat dyeing, a speciality that has it’s origins in the Nalgonda district of Telangana state.
In order to up the street-style factor of the outfit, we decided to add a fun DIY headgear so that we could keep the hair tucked in. We really lucked out with the earrings because we weren’t expecting this chunky pair to go so well with the look that was in mind! However, the entire look came together so beautifully, in fact, we didn’t expect it to come out looking this wonderfully street. We were apprehensive until the day of the shoot but after the first few clicks we just knew we had put together something really nice. For the feet, we decided to go with my trusty pair of flats that complimented the prints and colors of the dress very well.
This look came to be after a lot of deliberation and we have to admit, we’re quite pleased with it. We can now safely say that we did justice to the dress with the styling. Reshaa is known for its experimental style of clothes and this is one experiment that paid off really well. Each piece of garment, at Reshaa, has a story to tell and a history of origin with which you will not be disappointed. So what are you waiting for?
