I have always loved maxis. It is definitely a wardrobe staple, one of the most comfortable pieces of clothing I have come across and it is an absolute savior during summers when you want to keep away from those jeans. Maxis are not only the perfect outfit for summer but can also be worn during winters if styled the right way. Maybe throw in a jacket or a sweatshirt and you are good to go. Maxis make the cut for any type of situation. Be it a party, a casual day out with friends or just a lazy day at home. The best thing about this skirt is that it looks good on all body types. Hence, it can serve as a go to piece for everybody.
For the longest time I was looking for the perfect maxi skirt but something had been always wrong with whatever I found. It was either the wrong fit, size or length there was always something not quite right about it. After days of
tiresome searching I finally resorted to getting one stitched. The skirt turned out pretty neat, exactly the way I wanted it. Right fit, size, length and with a delightful flare. Except now the problem was to find the perfect top to go
with it. For months my pretty maxi was lying in my closet just waiting to be flaunted. Finally, one day when I was trying on my favourite LBD I saw my maxi. I pulled it out and wore it over the dress and that was the last time I wished I had a top that matched the skirt. My LBD made a perfect pairing with it.
As for the accessories, I decided to wear a belt to make it look like a one piece maxi outfit. The length of the skirt is not too long, hence I chose to wear flats instead of heels (Also I’m more comfortable in flats). If you are a finger ring sort of a person then there’s nothing like a neat ring to complete the look. It adds character and looks beautiful when you hold up your cocktail glass to smile for a picture.
